EN 10028-6 1.8869 Introduce
The steel grades covered by the EN 10028-6 standard includes a variety of non-alloy and alloy steels. Some of these grades include P355NL1, P355NL2, P355NH, P460NH and P460NL2. The standard further divides these grades into normalised rolled, thermomechanically rolled, thermomechanical control processed (TMCP) and fine grain steels.

EN 10028-6 1.8869 Material Mechanical Properties
Due to its unique mechanical properties, EN 10028-6 steel is suitable for a variety of high-pressure applications. Its high yield strength and tensile strength make it an ideal choice for pressure vessels, tanks, and other components subjected to extreme stresses. Its excellent weldability and ductility also make it a good choice for structural components and other applications where strength, durability, and weldability must be ensured. Additionally, its good hardness and impact strength make it suitable for parts that must be machined and/or subjected to abrasion.
The mechanical properties of the EN 10028-6 1.8869 steel are as follows:
| YieldRp0.2 | ≤ 748 (MPa) |
| TeileRm | ≤ 841 (MPa) |
| ImpactKV/Ku | 13(J) |
| ElongationA | 32% |
| Reduction in cross section on fractureZ | 31% |
| As-Heat-Treated Condition | Solution and Aging, Annealing, Ausaging, Q+T,etc |
| Brinell hardness (HBW) | 133 |
EN 10028-6 1.8869 Material Thermal Properties
The thermal performance parameters of the EN 10028-6 1.8869 steel are as follows:
