EN 10088-1 1.4600 Introduce

EN 10088-1 1.4600 is applicable to flat products; long products including bars and rods, wire and slabs; oxide-coated products; and corrosion-resistant products such as valves and fittings. It covers stainless steels of the following grades: austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, and duplex (a blend of austenitic and ferritic) as well as precipitation-hardening steels. The standard also designates several additional application requirements for these grades, such as temper rolling or cold processing, or additional heat treatment or surface modifications.

EN 10088-1 1.4600 Material Machining Technology

Steel is one of the most commonly used metal alloys in the world. It is known for its strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion, among other properties. EN 10088-1 is an internationally accepted standard for steel sheet and plate products, and it is one of the most popular grades of stainless steel used in the manufacture of machine parts and components. In order to obtain the desired shape and size, machining must be done to EN 10088-1 1.4600 steel.
