EN 10028-6 P690Q Introduce

The steel grades covered by the EN 10028-6 standard includes a variety of non-alloy and alloy steels. Some of these grades include P355NL1, P355NL2, P355NH, P460NH and P460NL2. The standard further divides these grades into normalised rolled, thermomechanically rolled, thermomechanical control processed (TMCP) and fine grain steels.

EN 10028-6 P690Q steel is highly weldable, making it easy to join components together using welding. The material can be joined using shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, and gas tungsten arc welding. It is also possible to weld dissimilar metals, such as stainless steel and carbon steel, to EN 10028-6 P690Q steel without issue.
