ASTM A314 Grade 430 Introduce

ASTM A314 Grade 430 is an American Standard Material Specification for an austenitic steel grade which offers exceptional strength, formability, weldability and good toughness. Due to its excellent formability, ASTM A314 Grade 430 is ideal for the fabrication of smaller and complex components. However, care must be taken with regard to selecting the suitable welding procedure and selecting a matching or slightly over matching filler metal for welding. With the correct selection of welding filler materials, manufacturers are assured of components with exceptional durability, quality, and performance for many industrial applications. The grade is particularly suitable for application in fuel tanks and pressure vessels because it provides superior corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and stress corrosion cracking and sour gas resistance.
