ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 Introduce
ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 is composed mostly of a combination of iron and chromium. This combination provides a material that is strong and resistant to corrosion. The alloy also contains other smaller amounts of elements like manganese, silicon and molybdenum. These elements add additional strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance to the material.
Smelting temperature:1256°C - 1949°C
Application:Seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy steel tubes for boilers, superheaters and heat exchangers
ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 Material Mechanical Properties
In order to achieve the desired mechanical properties of ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 steel, it must undergo several thermal treatments. These treatments often encompass both an annealing process and a tempering process. The annealing process removes stresses that have built up during the hot-working process, The tempering process then increases the mechanical strength of the steel by increasing the amount of energy that the material can absorb before fracturing.
The mechanical properties of the ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 steel are as follows:
| YieldRp0.2 | ≤ 533 (MPa) |
| TeileRm | ≤ 461 (MPa) |
| ImpactKV/Ku | 14(J) |
| ElongationA | 33% |
| Reduction in cross section on fractureZ | 13% |
| As-Heat-Treated Condition | Solution and Aging, Annealing, Ausaging, Q+T,etc |
| Brinell hardness (HBW) | 422 |
ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 Material Thermal Properties
The thermal performance parameters of the ASME SA-213/SA-213M T122 steel are as follows:
