ASTM A517/A517M A517 Grade P is a low-alloy, high-strength steel plate with a tensile range of 110-130 ksi (758 - 896 MPa). The plate's thickness usually ranges from 5/16" to 2", with a minimum yield strength of 65 ksi (448 MPa). ASTM A517/A517M A517 Grade P steel is designed for use in pressure vessels and boilers in applications that require higher strength and improved toughness and weldability.
